My Games Here are all the games I worked on as the lead/only programmer (excluding most of my freelance work). On some games I also did game and level design. NextRealm Bubbles Tech: Haxe, Phaser 3, MVCoconut, NodeJS May, 2021 Multiplayer Action Platform: HTML5 Play Here Video Wow, that was a lot of work. Could fill multiple blog posts about the tech behind this game. A simple clone of the popular agar game, made mainly to test the experimental tech behind it. Hopefully first of many more to come. Bingo Revealer Tech: Haxe, Phaser 3 Jan, 2019 Reflex Platform: HTML5 Play Here Video A freelance work for a friend. Ended up taking much more time than I hoped, but it was a nice experience. 3 Minute Adventure Tech: Haxe, Phaser 3 Sep, 2018 Interactive Fiction Platform: HTML5 Play Here Video Continuing the theme of no-assets-required, a text based game! True to its name, a very short one. Was lot of fun to make, which is ironic as I only worked on the engine for it while too depressed to work on my main goals. Ended up making a whole simple programming language to write the story in.I had plans to improve on it, and make more such games, but I never got back to it so far, as they're really not easy to monetize. Spot The Spot Tech: Haxe, Phaser 3 Sep, 2018 Reflex Platform: HTML5 Play Here Video When I was trying Unity, I designed this simple upgrade based game. Took me 2 weeks to make a prototype in Unity. Ended up finishing it in Phaser 3 in like a week. No art assets required, just pure shapes. Happy with the result, but of course it's not the type of game that makes a profit. Tap Tap Plane Tech: Haxe, Phaser 3 May, 2018 Reflex Platform: HTML5 Play Here Video A clone of the popular flappy bird game. Mainly made to learn Phaser 3. The plan was to start making a bunch of games, alone and faster, using art assets from Kenney. While that did not work out as well as I hoped, trying it did teach me a lot.Fun fact: Going with the spirit of over-engineering, this game also took ages to make and included a dynamic UI layout system that supported animations and such. To test it out, the game features 6 different unlockable intros made in that system. Out of many thousands of plays (which isn't much really), very few people saw them. HexSweep Tech: Haxe, Pixi, Phaser 3, MVCoconut, NodeJS Dec, 2017 Multiplayer Puzzle Platform: HTML5 Play Here Video My first (released) multiplayer game. Took me insane amount of time, not all of it well invested, but that's the learning process, isn't it. First implemented in Pixi, ported to Phaser 3 in 2019. Medieval Merchant Tech: Haxe, Flambe Jul, 2016 Reflex Platform: HTML5 Play Here Video Together with Matt Vile again, keeping our HTML5 skills occupied, a quick, nice little game. I remember Matt planned on using all the characters in other games, creating a sort of universe. That never happened as far as I know. Icesters Trouble Tech: Haxe, Nape, Flambe May, 2016 Physics Puzzle Platforms: HTML5, Flash Play Here Video Back to my physics puzzler roots! Proud of this game. It was my first successful collaboration that I made possible as a leader. I did the game design, levels, even dealt with publishers. Me, and Ivelina Gancheva as a very skilled artist, created this game in less than 2 months. This was supposed to be the start of my indie gamedev career, but disappointed by the realities of declining web games market, I didn't pursue this path properly. Which is a shame, because looking back – I'm pretty sure it would have worked out. Gooey Yama Tech: Haxe, Flambe Oct, 2015 Reflex Platform: HTML5 Play Here Video Quick, small and cute game. Another success with Matt Vile. For this one I've made fancy flash assets exporter tool using Windows Forms, Haxe exported C# and Flash Player embedded into it. Another over-engineered project. Loot The King 2 Tech: Haxe, Nape, Flambe, Adobe Air May, 2015 Physics Puzzle Platforms: Android, iOS, HTML5, Flash Play Here Video A well made sequel. Was fun to work on, Flambe was a great framework. The game took terrible amount of time to make for various reasons, but it paid well. Dealing with the publisher was very lengthty and annoying process. If I remember correctly, it took almost a year from finished game to it being published. We used the same level editor as in Loot The King 1. That was the last time we used it. Loot The King Tech: Haxe, Nape, CreateJS Jul, 2013 Physics Puzzle Platform: HTML5 Play Here Video Our first HTML5 game with Matt Vile. Very good for how young the technology was then. We've also used level editor I've made as part of my bachelor degree thesis. It supported multiple users editing the same file remotely. It was overengineered, messy, and had bugs. Psychic Arrow Tech: Haxe, Nape Mar, 2013 Distance Platform: Flash Play Here Video Matt was trying a new art style that didn't work that well. But all in all a pretty neatly designed game, with some fun cinematics. Dungeon Breaker Tech: ActionScript 3, Nape May, 2012 Physics Puzzle Platform: Flash Play Here Video First game I was really proud of. Moderate success. Custom in-game level editor for development. Neat physics like chains, mine carts, magnets and grappling hooks. And it was made quite fast. Another successful collaboration with Matt Vile. Archer’s Oath Tech: ActionScript 3, Nape Mar, 2012 Physics Puzzle Platform: Flash Play Here Video This game marked the start of my long term collaboration with Matt Vile. I enjoyed working on this one, and was pretty happy with the result. Our publisher for this game was horrible though. Cows Vs Aliens Tech: ActionScript 3, Nape, Ogmo Editor Aug, 2011 Physics Puzzle Platform: Flash Play Here Video Another collaboration with Vlad Petre, although most of his art was replaced by the game publisher. Loved working on this one, fun concept, physics, what's not to like. Space Hornet Tech: ActionScript 3, FlashPunk, Ogmo Editor Aug, 2011 Shooter Platform: Flash Play Here Video Collaboration with Vlad Petre. A pretty nice game, but space shooters weren't very popular by then. Still, I was happy with what we've made. Color Hex Tech: ActionScript 3 Jun, 2011 Puzzle Platform: Flash Play Here Video This one has a special place in my heart. I've designed and prototyped it back in 2008 with ActionScript 2. Rewrote to ActionScript 3. Then hired an artist and rewrote/improved the game again. First game with actual graphics art that I've taken from idea all the way to released product. Even had a working level editor and sharing back in the day. Good Bye Green Tech: Flash, ActionScript 3, Box2D Jul, 2010 Physics Puzzle Platform: Flash Video My last game with Daniel Martin. A mediocre success, but level design (which I did not do this time) could have been better. Magma Balance Tech: Flash, ActionScript 3, Box2D May, 2010 Physics Puzzle Platform: Flash Video Another physics builder game, this time a collaboration with Alberto A. Braga. A very nice experience that resulted in a pretty nice game. Trix Tech: Flash, ActionScript 3, Box2D Feb, 2010 Physics Matcher Platform: Flash Play Here Video Not very well designed, but a good attempt. A collaboration with Michael Hudson. Catastrophic Construction 2 Tech: Flash, ActionScript 3, Box2D Sep, 2009 Physics Puzzle Platform: Flash Play Here Video Being smart and capitalizing on previous success, we quickly launched a sequel. The graphics was worse in my opinion, but Daniel was trying new style. Game wasn't as successful as the prequel. Catastrophic Construction Tech: Flash, ActionScript 3, Box2D Jun, 2009 Physics Puzzle Platform: Flash Play Here Video Made with Daniel Martin. The game got quite popular in China. Had over 10 million plays before MochiStats stopped working. Daniel ended up ghosting me along with my revenue share. Poppers Tech: Flash, ActionScript 3 Jun, 2009 Matcher Platform: Flash Video Made for free in a few days, because I was young and dumb. Ball Collector Tech: Flash, ActionScript 2 May, 2008 Reflex Platform: Flash Play Here Video First commercial success. I sold a license for this game. Protect Easter Egg Tech: Flash, ActionScript 2 Mar, 2008 Clicker Platform: Flash Play Here Video First collaboration, with Peter Filipek, a friend from high school. Gaia Jigsaw Tech: Flash, ActionScript 2 Feb, 2008 Puzzle Platform: Flash Play Here Video Free assets from Gaia Online for a flash game competition. Couldn't ignore the opportunity, so I've made what I could. Space Bubble Tech: Flash, ActionScript 2 Feb, 2008 Puzzle Platform: Flash Play Here Video Tried to apply some math in code. A-Voider Tech: Flash, ActionScript 2 Feb, 2008 Avoider Platform: Flash Play Here Video My first game ever!
